How has TfGM pay dropped?

TfGM is part of the Passenger Transport Forum (PTF), along with the West Midlands and West Yorkshire Combined Authorities. The value of each year’s pay increase varies depending on your pay point, but on average this is how our pay increases have compared to the rising cost of living:

By February 2024, TfGM staff needed a 35.7% pay rise, on average, to restore their purchasing power to April 2009 levels.

The recent decline in inflation doesn’t mean prices have fallen on average, they are still going up. But it does make it easier for TfGM to STOP the DROP by giving staff an above-inflation increase this year to begin to restore our standard of living.
